    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is an interesting class if the professor can keep it interesting. With this professor, it did not spark any interests, and the exams required too much of students who weren't majoring in ethnomusicology such as being able to identify the names and types of gamelan pieces.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the workshops, where you got to try out instruments from different music cultures.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this course from a professor other than this one. Read the book, and really try to familiarize yourself with the different types of music.
