    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He teaches the course based on the textbook. You must go to class if you want to pass. However, you also need to study on your own because he lectures too fast for you to learn everything.

    Course highlights:

Learning about different kinds of molecules and their properties. For examples, learning about alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes and each of the type of mechanisms they can each participate in.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You must study at home on your own if you want to pass. Over 50% of the class fail because it is a very difficult course.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

For any science majors, organic chemistry is a course that may be required for graduation. Although very difficult, it helps you understand more than just the basics you learn in general chemistry.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much from this course, mainly about the synthesis of reactions. You never really think of how all the chemical reactions actually work. This class teaches you in depth of the synthesis of organic matter.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study! You will not pass the course if you do not take the time to study thoroughly, especially after lecture.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for any science student (especially life science student!) because it is thoroughly challenging physically, mentally and emotionally. This is the course that takes guts and character and pushes a students to the extremes of their learning capability, and then past even that.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was definitely the stereo chemistry section. I feel like the ability to think in 3D in your mind and connect molecules based on structures is amazing. This was also one of the most difficult sections and so the most rewarding!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. study, study! Always go to the office hours and the tutoring. Don't let a section go by that you don't understand without asking for help. Don't fall behind with your readings because it's impossible to catch up! Don't take this class lightly! It's the one that will unlock your potential.
