Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would HIGHLY recommend Professor VanGorkom. This course is mostly a run-up to Anatomy and Physiology, so if you're looking to take either of those classes, you're in luck. Professor VanGorkom comes from a medical background and so all of his lectures are punctuated with fascinating examples from real life. He can make even the most complicated process understandable and his classes are engaging and friendly.

    Course highlights:

I learned an incredible amount about the human body- everything from the intestines to ATP.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the course! It's worth it. As for studying for the tests, they typically have multiple choice AND short answer, so make sure that you memorize your material. There is a lot of vocabulary (it IS Bio after all) so don't be surprised when you need to break out your flashcards. Take notes in class- I'd recommend bringing a notebook with blank paper (no lines) and colored pens/pencils so you can draw clear diagrams. Also, draw diagrams a bunch of times- that's the easiest way to memorize, for example, the bloodflow to the heart.
