    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because it helps get over the initial fear of public speaking.

    Course highlights:

I liked that we had small groups where we had discussions and projects because it takes the anxiety away from talking to the whole class and it's a good way to acquire practice for the final speech.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

As much as I hate public speaking, this class made me feel comfortable and less insecure about my public speaking abilities so don't be nervous.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this specific teacher! She's a lot of fun, and her class was very interesting. She taught theory by using a lot of examples. which were always useful for most of us. It was full of activities that always help understand the subject better, too. Also, she helped me beat my stage fright. There were several speeches we had to give, and my classmates were all very open and welcoming, so I was less stressed each time. I loved this teacher because she gave us the freedom to talk about a subject of our choice. She would let us pick our partners for group work, and we all became friends in the end.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were when we got to work in groups. Even if it was difficult to come to an agreement sometime, we would always have fun. There were a lot of imaginary situations that we had to work with. I learned that a lot of different things can influence on communication. For example, if you belong to a specific group or the environment you grew up in. Also, the fact that communication is the most important part of any human relationship. We wouldn't successfully be able to relate to others if we couldn't communicate in any way.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To read the book. She would give the general idea of the topic we were discussing, but it always helps to read the book and compliment your knowledge.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I enjoyed being able to take this course. I'll admit, -5 first I wasn't crazy about taking it but I ended up really enjoying it. I would recommend it because it challenged me just the right amount and taught me what I needed to know about speech while having ha assignments be enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

While taking this course, I got to learn about the different types of speeches as well as how to deliver a good speech and the techniques that go along with that. Within these topics I also learned things such as how to write and give speeches, different types of being a leader, and effective communication traits. I really enjoyed the amount of challenge I felt while taking this course but at the same time not feeling overwhelmed the entire time. The work constantly kept me active and involved and helped me learn along the way.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

For this course, I would recommend constantly reading the textbook/readings. Reading through those helps a lot more than you would think. Even going back and rereading the chapter again can make a huge difference in test/assignment scores. Also, making sure to study and constantly be up to date with what is being discussed or learned about that week.
