    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course for many reasons. First of all, for nursing students it is mandatory, but even if you aren't a nursing major, this is still a very informative class that is extreamly interesting. Its amazing to see how the body works exactly and the many different things happening all at once for even the smallest action to occur in the body.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about how the heart works. I learned all about how exactly the heart contracts and why; I learned about the electrical impulses and how action potentials are what causes the heart to contract, a muscle to contract, and almost every other function in the body. I learned all about how the body absorbes nutrients and how the body filters in and out all different substances. There are many other things I've learned, but those are just a few.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you plan time everyday to study this subject and to make sure you understand the material each day you learn something new, otherwise you will fall behind quickly.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Physiology puts the structures learned in anatomy to work in order to see the body as a working system.

    Course highlights:

    Homeostasis, Cell Biology, pathology

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Review, Review, Review! Each section builds on the previous unit and the foundations learned in Anatomy. Go back and read your notes from Anatomy before each new system lecture.
