    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course challenged my abilities in Latin and helped me understand more deeply why this language is still being taught today. I would highly recomend this course because it truly advanced my knowledge of the Latin era.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the landscapes of Roman times and about the people who lived there. I learned of their lifestyles and careers and how the Latin language affected them. I also learned how Latin was developed and how it was spread during these times.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class you must have an interest in Latin and the history of Latin. You should also have a good background in the language itself and be able to translate efficiently. Also it is good to review your terms frequently!

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is similar to the Latin class I took junior year, which is translating different stories out of Latin into English.

    Course highlights:

We are reading Roman mythology and learning about the history of the Roman Empire in addition to improving our Latin skills.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Have fun with it and enjoy what your are learning!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class has taught me more than just Latin translations and traditions. This class taught me to grow as a student, to try new things that seem scary at first. This class taught me how to mobilize an army because we studied Caesar's Gallic Wars. This class, this teacher, taught me how to be a better person. Because of Mr. Magness and his class, I learned that it is okay to be myself. I have this class to thank for that.

    Course highlights:

Latin Translations, how to translate. Caesar's Gallic Wars and battle tactics. Life of a solider and civilian.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start studying now, because it will come back to haunt you if you don't
