    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recomend this course because it hepled me to become a much better writer. It was an area I thought that I was skilled in but it showed me I had a lot more work to do and how hard I could push myself.

    Course highlights:

I gained a major insight on how to write more clearly and prepared me for college writing.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell them to come in with an open mind and leave your ego at the door. You may think you are a good writer but Mrs. Szymborski will only strip you down to build you back up again better and stronger

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I 100% recommend it, because it improved the quality of my writing so much. Mrs. Szymborski was an amazing teacher, and I still catch myself using the little tips and tricks she taught me about effective writing. She also gave me so much confidence in my writing and about my future as a journalist.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to direct my writing to a specific audience. I also learned to define so many terms that relate to not only literature but commercial writing and journalistic writing as well. It's a lot of work but it is broken down so well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention and try to absorb even the seemingly little pieces of advice. Everything Mrs. Szymborski says is wise, and she will be able to tell by your writing if you listen to her.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is very comprehensive. You go into such depth about books you would have not understood otherwise. It helps you to understand why certain authors write the books they write.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned how to interpret the meaning of books, and not just take them for what they are on the surface.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to read the books assigned as well as doing to the work given. It is all given to benefit you for AP test at the end of the year.
