Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to any person seeking a career in the medical field, as well as to the person who wants to discover God's creation in a special way. I will never forget when I saw bacteria via a negative stain; it looked to me like stars in the sky.

    Course highlights:

I learned a great deal about what most of us in our everyday lives regard as unseen, too small to be noticed. From aseptic technique, to Gram staining, to how to use a spectrophotometer, to optical density, this course was very informative, hands-on, and worthwhile to take.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay the course. Come out of the gate running from day one, and once you have placed your hand to the plow, do not remove it until you have handed in your final exam and lab notebook!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Lucien is the best teacher I have ever had. He makes microbiology interesting, makes you thinks, and takes time to make sure you understand it. I think anyone would enjoy taking this class with him.

    Course highlights:

I learned about different microorganisms and bacteria. Different types function best in different environments and have different properties and effect the body differently. We were able to see them firsthand in lab in order to gain a better understanding.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to do well, just pay attention (especially during reviews), ask questions, and don't miss any class. Lucien will always cover what is important. Don't get behind in the lab reports and you should do fine in lab.
