Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Barksdale provides multiple learning methods for students each class period.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I was given a group project assignment where I was told to give a twenty minute presentation on a chapter to the class in the form of a game show episode. I was able to both learn the material myself, and teach the rest of the class the information. Because of this game show, I build wrong relationships with my peers and gained a genuine interest in the subject.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study! This class may be tough, and there may be a lot of assignments, but by following Mrs. Barksdale's instruction, success is guaranteed!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course. Mrs. Barksdale is a very understanding teacher who tries to have every person in the class involved and she comes up with new ways for use to learn.

    Course highlights:

One highlight of this course is when we played Sociomonopoly. This is a made up game where one group has a lot of money and benefits while other groups do not have as much money and/or benefits. The purpose of this game is to help us understand how there is an economic inequality in our world.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Advice I would give to a student who is considering this course would be to make sure you pay attention in class! If we watch a video, play a game, have a discussion about a topic or just simply take notes, it will be on a test. So it is very important to be active in the class.
