Course Overview:
I enjoyed Mrs. Arionus and every aspect of her teaching. However, I did not enjoy statistics at all. I love math very nuch, but statistics is more like observing something mathematical and writing about it. There were so many steps involved in figuring things out that I did not enjoy.
Course highlights:
In this course I learned what statistics were and how to find one. The different types of tests involved in determining a statistics and how to administer them.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
If you insist on takig this course be prepared to take a lot of notes and very in depth. Practice every technique you learn until you know it by heart. Those tests are very hard. Good luck.

Course Overview:
I highly recommend this course be taken for any who intend on major in a social science. It is needed to transfer into four year programs. Professor Swan is an excellent instructor who aims on making concepts clear to all students regardless of their past in mathematics. He understands it can be difficult, but will make an effort with you no matter what.
Course highlights:
This course was interesting in the sense that we were able to apply concepts to real life. Statistics are used to determine data of nearly every aspect of life and therefore we had many to topics to apply concepts to such as the average grade during the previous semester. That was quite interesting.
Hours per week:

Advice for students:
My advice to those taking STATS 165 at Citrus College is never give up, never slack off, and always seek help. Talk to your instructor, students, friends, and tutors, believe me you will need to. Always remember the class is absolutely a challenge but nonetheless you can overcome it.
