Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor does a great job explaining everything that she wants you to do and the assignments are interesting topics to write papers on. She runs the class very nicely and she if flexible to be able to help you or work around your schedule when it comes to drafting conferences.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights of this course is her rough draft conferences. I liked the fact that after we wrote our first draft, and before handing in the final draft, she would have you come in for a conference and look over your paper and tell you about the things that sounded weird and just what sections needed to be worked on.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you have any questions, please don't be afraid to ask. She is quite friendly in the sense of being very open to questions and helping who ever asks for it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was extensive in the technicalities of formatting works cited, APA, and MLA essays. Naturally, as a composition class there was lots of writing but prompts were enjoyable and individualized.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was learning how to format correctly in APA writing style, and also exploring great, free resources.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Write rough drafts and get it peer reviewed!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommended this course. Professor Irons was an amazing educator that help all of us express our deep hidden feelings, and release them with gracefully flowing words, in each of our papers. We wrote on topics we could relate to, and that we genuinely had concern and feeling about. This course will help you improve and refine the creative writing juices that everyone has.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this class was definitely are class discussions. With each discussion we would bring up topics and ideas that I would have never gone across on my own. With each topic we were righting on we would spend at least three class periods just working on ideas, just talking and brain storming. A very big positive out of many great things in this class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Advice I would give would be to show up for class. I know it’s tempting to want to skip especially if there isn’t any homework due. Showing up for class and being able to bounce ideas off of your class mates and your professor makes you that much better as a student. Also not getting behind on homework is essential to passing and having good grades as well as keep your stress level down.
