Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is very charming and keeps the class entertaining with stories that relate to what we're learning.

    Course highlights:

Often times we tend to focus on the development of a child, but it was interesting to learn how we develop into late adulthood, and to see the psychological stages that we have not yet faced.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend every class and visit office hours. She is very friendly and supportive, which will help you be more successful in the course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Psyc 125 with Mrs. Scott was very interesting and informative. She explained things very well, and the course load was just the right amount. I enjoyed the class, learned a lot, and gained a better understanding about human development and how our cognition evolves from infancy to death. However, the one downfall to the class was that she had a pattern of just going over power point slides - ones that we could just look for ourselves later - rather than using a variety of teaching methods. Overall, I very much enjoyed the course, and Mrs. Scott was a great instructor.

    Course highlights:

Mrs. Scott did a good job of keeping lecture on some of the more depressing topics brief (such as mental abuse, death, depressive disorders). She spent more time on the things that intrigue students (like how your cognition changes in each life stage, and the importance of sleep cycle timing), and gave real-life scenarios to help demonstrate and explain concepts. There were some in-class group activities, but hardly any out-of-class projects or activities. Overall, Psyc 125 was a fun, educational class that provided me with much more insight than I previously had.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to read the assigned chapters for Psyc 125. Class attendance and participation is very important, and visiting during office hours is highly encouraged. From my experience, using flashcards is the best form of studying for this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

All the powerpoints were available to us. She made a study guide before every test and everything that was on on the study guide was on the exams. Very fun and informational instructor.

    Course highlights:

Learning the material in depth. Whenever you asked a question she makes sure that not only you fully understand but also the whole class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

DO THE STUDY GUIDE. This is key. With the help of the study guides the class from a 9 to a 5.
