Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

There were plenty of opportunities to get involved in whatever one might be interested in - whether it be clubs.volunteering, internships, jobs, or just something fun. These helped me to be more than prepared to move on to graduate studies after completing my Bachelor's degree.

    Course highlights:

The old "work hard, play hard" adage seems to hold true for many students at UIUC. You don't have to be a partier to love your time at the school, though. I think there is a place for anyone in Champaign-Urbana. I highly recommend.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It doesn't hurt that the campus is also an enjoyable place to be. There were so many things going on all the time that there was never a dull moment. Everyone was dedicated to learning but still knew how to have fun.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I never had a meal plan, since I never lived in any dorms. But I did try some meals off of a friends meal plan. The food at the time was pretty typical. It was nice that you can share your plan with others like this, I guess you can consider it a flexibility.

    Course highlights:

I recall each dining hall having it's own reputation for quality/menu, so do some research about the options. For instance, the dining hall I went to had a lot of vegan options.I transferred directly into an apartment off-campus.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Apartment costs can range depending where you look, but I would say it should be pretty easy to find something to match your budget. Like most things, be sure to do your research first. Social atmosphere.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The courses are very valuable. Almost all of the professors genuinely care about the topic of their course and teach as best as they can. They are very open to students and very responsive to emails; it's clear that they care about the students.

    Course highlights:

The grade you get is the grade you deserve. A few classes may be hard, but that is usually because it will be a class that will be essential to one's career, such as organic chemistry.Getting a degree from UIUC comes off as quite prestigious, due to the school ranking, difficulty of courses, and achievements that the university and its alumni have achieved.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The career center is a good place to help students learn about what they want to do in life or how to help them become a better candidate for graduate programs, especially the academic advisers. The only down side is that there is a large bias/favoritism displayed by the university for engineering students.
