Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Because Illinois is on the lower end of the Big Ten schools, our school spirit cannot compare to schools like OSU, Penn State, etc. However, since we I see spirit manifest in our top-ranked schools (Engineering and Business).

    Course highlights:

This school is one of the top public universities. It is a big ten school with a large alumni pool. Many students go to good grad school programs or land their dream jobs. If you are in STEM or business then the opportunities are wider in terms of career fairs and company visits.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

their time following sports intensely. While I took a while to adjust first semester freshman year, I started to get used to the college life second semester. The engineering college is great for students to culture their ambitions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It all depends on which dorm you live in. If it's one of the new dorms, then they're excellent. If it's an older dorm, they're pretty gnarly. From class to parties, everything is impeccable.Greek life on this campus is a huge deal, from parties, to friendships, but to me, a non-Greek.

    Course highlights:

Non-Greeks are friends with Greeks, but most of us don't acknowledge that being in a sorority or fraternity separates us as regular people. Most non-Greeks are just indifferent about Greeks.Guys get chosen more based on how much of a "bro" they are from day one.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

but act like perfect little angels on Sunday. For guys it's a different experience, because during rush week, girls are being judged on looks, anything that comes out of your mouth is irrelevant to the sorority girl you're talking to, especially if you're talking about hopes and dreams and reality.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I felt fairly protected by the campus safety, but also felt like I was still at home with my protective parents. The housing was very strict about everything. I felt like they were out to get people in trouble instead of making sure people are safe.

    Course highlights:

Campus Housing has its ups and downs. Some of the dorms are very nice and some are very old. The rooms feel very small unless you decide to have bunk beds with your roommate. If I could re-do my Freshman year.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When I lived in the dorms there were always cockroaches in the restrooms. The dorms were not the best living situation, but I did make many close friends. It was a learning experience for me and I learned how to be an adult.
