    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class had the most wonderful and outgoing professor, Kate Kuper. She had the most wecoming spirit that filled the studio as soon as you walked in. Since it was dance, it was a great way to relieve some stress from an impending exam. The workload was not heavy at all and it was usually pretty fun. The class usually dance in small groups so it was a great way to connect with your fellow classmates. It was so hard to be in a bad mood when you were in that studio. This class will make you lift your spirits and make your week seem just a little lighter.

    Course highlights:

Through this class I learned how to let go and how to shake away any fear or inhibitions about getting out there and dancing. I never would’ve thought of taking this class but I was so glad I did. After going through so hard times, this class taught me to laugh and have fun again. My professor and the people around me encouraged me to be positive and to let go of the bad in my life, even if for just a moment. I learned how to dance but the life lessons I gained through this course was far greater than any other class I could have taken. But make sure to attend class! The only way to learn is to show up (and you get graded on participation too!)

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

#1 piece of advice: Go to class. The only way to get anything out of this class is to show up. There isn’t much homework at all so the class is heavily based on participation. There is only one midterm and the final exam. The class also requires students to watch four performances at the performing arts center on campus. You can’t do the required critiques if you don’t show up. The performances are super entertaining so it doesn’t feel like work. You’ll have a great time in this class.
