Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The sociology of sport not only examines the social context of of role of the sports but also the people within that community.

    Course highlights:

I've learned about why certain sports are popular in some country and why some are not popular. Also I've learned about the sociological approach to why some athletes decides to be one or not.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

For some reason, many students decided to not even bother to show up to class but honestly it was a great course and you learn a lot from it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it combines the two very interesting fields of sports and sociology. It can be very beneficial for any student who wishes to pursue a career in the health/sports industry, as well as any student pursuing a career in the social sciences. This course will undoubtedly provide students with a different perspective on sports and society.

    Course highlights:

This course goes into depth about the social science of human movement. It was very interesting learning about human behavior through sports. It highlights the connections between sports and social factors that we as a society sometimes fail to acknowledge. The most important thing that I personally learned from this course was that social injustices dwell in every corner of society, including sports, and that we must work together as a society to diminish these injustices.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The most beneficial piece of advice that I can give to students considering this course would be to give your full attention and participate in lecture. I found that the more one partakes in discussions and asks questions, the more information that will be surfaced from both the peers and instructor.
