This class was tough.
Even if you are not an insect person, this course allows you into a huge living world that surrounds us. Insects are everywhere and most of the course focused on the identification and agricultural applications of the field.
This course was a highlight for me because part of the course was to prepare your own specimen collection. We went on field trips to collect species from different areas of Illinois.

Advice for students:
Study often and do not leave any projects for the end of the semester. The professor and teaching assistants are very helpful and offer hands-on tutoring for both the lab and the lecture sections.
