Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The ARC gym facilities isn't quite like those at Mizzou or Ohio State, but they are very nicely maintained and I lift there every other morning. It can get crowded otherwise; lots of students here work out regularly.

    Course highlights:

Illinois is a lot tougher than I had originally expected coming into school, but I've learned a lot and I'm definitely not flailing around, feeling lost and hopeless. Though there were other schools I really liked when I received acceptance letters.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Campus crimes rarely occur. When they do occur, a mass email is sent to all UIUC students so they know to avoid the area or be on the lookout for someone. There are emergency poles almost everywhere. On the pole, if you press the button, a police officer will show up immediately.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you're into the Greek or Sports scene you will really appreciate the Big 10 feel. It was easy to feel "lost" there sometimes - not surprising at a school with over 30,000 students.hang out at the coffee shop, and overall feel very included in college life.

    Course highlights:

I really feel like I belong here and would recommend utilizing all parts of campus life from dining halls to student organizations, it is very important to be involved to feel the most at home.be politically active.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I am very impressed after my first year at the university of Illinois. It is a very fun and interactive university that has a little something for everyone. I myself am an engineering student, but I like to do other things than just the nerdy things in life and here that is okay.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

There is a big party-scene on campus, especially due to the large greek system present. Quality and location are completely subjective, it depends what you're looking for. It is quite easy to find a social group of interesting and fun people through clubs and organizations.

    Course highlights:

I gained many more friends and memories this way than from going out to the loud & sweaty dance-bars or musty frat basements, which are also quite easy to find.I think policies that benefit the campus overall are worth being enforced.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Everyone wants to feel safe and comfortable while attending school, and while having fun is accessible and widely participated, expect safety and intelligent decisions to be enforced. As a transfer student, I was able to pay for my junior year out-of-pocket, with financial aid being useful for my senior year.
