As an introduction course, STAT 100 was organized and taught extremely well. The concepts do build on each other during the semester, but I never felt overwhelmed by learning material that was entirely new to me. The professor is well spoken and ready to help any student. I enjoyed the course so much that I considered switching to a statistics major!

After taking this course I had a great understanding of the overall field of statistics. The professor used a lot of real world examples that applied our formulas and concepts to actual data sets collected. Topics included box plots, regressions, correlation, normal curves, and statistical testing.

Advice for students:
The best way to succeed in this course is to go to every lecture and complete all the homework. While it seems to be really simple advice, this is really all you need to get a great grade in this course. The notebook you will use is organized perfectly and the professor follows right along with it. The review day before the exams gives you a great feel for the format of the exam and exactly what you will be expected to know and do. Also, there are some bonus problems on the homework that everyone should do so that even if you do miss a few test questions you can make up those points no problem!
