Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is challenging, but it also allows you to learn about other religions in a way that does not degrade or put forth a negative view of each religion. It is a great course to take because it allows you to understand more of other people's religious backgrounds, which can better help you understand people of different cultures.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the religious projects. We were required to to an interview with someone of a different religion than our own, visit a place of worship during a service, and the discussion posts each week were a good way to understand the material by looking at other student's posts and seeing their thoughts and insights.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell them this course is a great option for anyone wanting to be a more well-rounded person. This course allows you to learn about other cultures and religions with an unbiased perspective.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course made me look at the world differently. What I mean is, this class goes into depth on the basis of each major religion in the world. The professor is very energetic and passionate about what he teaches, which made going to class much more enjoyable. He uses powerpoints but doesn't just stand in front of the class reading the slide. The assignments are interactive which made me learn more than just writing a paper or watching a video. I loved this class and if I could I would probably take it again.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning about the different religious movement there are throughout the world. This class got me out of my comfort zone and required me to go to things such as a yoga class to show how Hinduism uses this practice to pray.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go out of your comfort zone for the assignments instead of just making them up/ watching a movie. Looking back I'm glad I have the experience I do. Also, take good notes and take advantage of extra credit opportunities.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This REL 250 class was very insightful. i expected it to be a man who simply taught the history of religion. not one who believed it. Mr Cooped showed how to hold numerous beliefs and faiths with esteem, never saying how his was better or right but that all should be respected. I've been a christian all my life and my teacher taught me more of what that means in the few months i was under him than almost all others combined

    Course highlights:

I learned my history, as well as that of others. I learned the darker side of my faith, the side most others would prefer to keep in the dark. I learned also, of others beliefs and how, though we may not agree on everything, their ways of life are just as important as mine.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do it. This course was insightful and entertaining. this teacher captured my attention like none had before. he explained the hard questions and was a master of knowledge, but not in a way that makes the student feel stupid. in a way that draws you in and makes you thirsty of more knowledge.
