    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is very fascinating. It tells you in more detail on how and why people act in a certain way. It goes behind the scenes of the social aspect on how people interact by different reasons. It is really cool to learn about!

    Course highlights:

I really liked that the professor provided examples the students can relate to and was very interactive with the class, which made it easier to learn.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Her tests are very specific so I would review your notes intently before you take the online tests.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

My feelings on SOC 101 are indecisive because, I felt the material learned was extremely interesting, but can be confusing without proper learning. It is a class you need to know what study method works best for you and learn the material that way, as opposed to just doing the reading and showing up to class. I had to make several flashcards to get high scores on the exams. I learn best from memory games so that's how I accomplished my goals for the class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the class were learning the study of human interaction. I learned a bunch about other cultures, how society is the way it is and about research on social norms.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend spending twice as long studying outside of class than the length of the class itself.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it was well organized and a great learning experience. Overall, the work load was moderate and plenty of time was offered to complete the work.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me why society is the way it is. Some of the discussions pertained to applying the information you learned from the book to real life situations. I wish I would have known to take good notes from the assigned reading to help me study for the quizzes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, you need to read the assigned materials. I also suggest to get involved in the discussion post and read all of the posts because you will learn a lot and develop a new way of looking at certain topics. I would also suggest not waiting until the last moment to do your homework.
