The purpose of this lab is to gain an understanding of crystalline lattice through use of model
kits. We will find Z (unit cell content), Cn (coordination number), packing efficiency, density,
radius, and volume of atoms or ions and compare them.
The purpose of this lab is to measure the absorbance of a set of solutions with known
concentrations, in order to find the concentration of an unknown solution. Do this through a
calibration curve and use of the Beer-Lambert law.
The purpose of Synthesis of Alum lab is to investigate and synthesize Alum from aluminum in
order to form crystals through purification.
No procedural methods changed during the experiment. Refer to page 1-4 of the Chemistry 2 lab
The purpose of this lab is to investigate the four properties of gas; pressure, volume, temperature, and
the number of molecules while ultimately being able to describe gas laws both qualitatively and

Determining the Acid Dissociation constant of a weak acid
Purpose: The purpose of this lab is to determine the acid dissociation constant of a weak acid and portraying it
through a titration
Acid Base Titration:
Acid and base generally react and produce salt and water: if salt is insoluble, reaction
results in a precipitate
Titration: a volumetric method of quantitative analysis
Experiment uses one titration to standardize the base solution u
