    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I've learned more in this course than in the entire history of all other psychology curriculum. Dr. Love is a genius and is passionate about her topics, generating a contagious desire to learn more.

    Course highlights:

I gained vast knowledge in the chemistry of certain neural functions in both healthy and ill humans.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook. Pay attention during lecture and make sure to read beforehand--it's a lot of information to be loaded onto you at once.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend taking this course with Dr. Love, she is very knowledgeable, charismatic, and down-to-earth. I also recommend that you take very good notes and study daily -- all of your points for the course come from the examinations, so this is of the utmost importance. I would also recommend a brain atlas since you will need to know each region of the brain and how they are connected, as well as neurological pathways for specific behavioral patterns.

    Course highlights:

I thought I knew a lot about the brain -- I'm going to be a neuroscientist, I better! She proved me wrong! I learned just how much there is left to learn and how intricate each mechanism can be, as well as how the operate in reverse. I learned much from this course and I highly recommend this to anyone interested in neurological functions as they pertain to behaviors and abnormal disorders.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would color-code my own brain maps, so I could easily identify each individual pathway. I would also color-code neurotransmitters and their families, and symptoms with specific diseases, etc. I would then pin these to my wall, so I could see them everyday. If I needed to study one more so than another, I would simply remove it from my wall. Note cards may be equally helpful to memorize the functions of specific neural structures.
