Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Critical writing sounds harsh, but I would take this class over and over again. I entered this course worried about my writing abilities, but Dr. Coombs was an amazing professor and proved to me that I am capable of overcoming my fears of not being "good enough" while simultaneously learning and having fun. I read material that opened mind in numerous ways. Every time I submitted a paper, Dr. Coombs gave me incredible feedback that only made my papers better.

    Course highlights:

I learned to love literature by be able to read deeper than what is presented on the surface. I learned to properly write a formal paper. I became friends with not only my fellow classmates, but also my professor. Dr. Coombs allows every idea into his classroom and really wants to understand what we think of the material. The class was a wonderful experience and I enjoyed every minute of it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the material and write down your feedback to specific sections of the material. Whether you love the material, hate it or do not understand it, Dr. Coombs cares about your feedback and will discuss your thoughts in class. Be prepared.
