    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Very difficult class; requires a lot of studying

    Course highlights:

    Learned a lot about hydrothermal vents

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    start studying early; do not wait more than a week to start studying for an exam

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    I wouldn't recommend this course because most of the information taught is from a primary source, the teacher. She speaks quickly and does not teach mostly from a textbook which makes catching up more difficult.

    Course highlights:

    The course overall was very interesting and provided the students general knowledge about the different microbes in multiple environments ranging from the arctic to a cow's gut.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Sit close to the front, show up every day, and write down everything she says
