Not too easy. Not too difficult.

Professor Welsh's excitement and love for the course makes the classroom environment entertaining and makes the material easier to learn and understand.

Go to class and actively learn by taking notes. Do your readings and do not fall behind. Study no later than a week before an upcoming test.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is phenomenal; he makes sure that the tests are fair and that he addresses each question on them at some point during the lectures. The workload isn't extreme and the class is interesting. There are several readings throughout that you need to do, but they aren't very hard or time-consuming. There is one presentation over the course of the semester, but it isn't very hard and the subjects are interesting.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about what public health is and how it impacts us every day, including health surveillance systems and vaccinations. You learn about different ways to look at health and about differences in health across different demographics in the United States.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the readings and review sheets. They may not seem important, but they are vital to knowing what is on the tests. Go to class, read the textbook, and you will do well in the class.
