    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The information is interesting, but sometimes the delivery is monotone. The coursework can range from simple to overwhelming.

    Course highlights:

One highlight was the opportunity to watch a live streaming of an opera (with discounted tickets) and write a report for extra credit. I learned to analyze music in a real, professional setting and how it relates to production.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You don't need to use the textbook that much. Complete the worksheets in class.

    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Do not take this course if you are not a music major unless you really love music. Dr. Wolinski is very bright, but is monotonous most of the time and the class can be a real drag.

    Course highlights:

An indepth look at the development of music over the course of time.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice is to do the worksheets, study them, do the listenings, and show up to class. The Honors sections only has to take one test but has to write a longer research paper at the end. You can easily write 3 more pages, so take the honors section if you can.
