    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Showing up to class is optional. If you are someone who enjoys being engaged in the classroom this course may not be for you. the instructor talks a lot and shares several semi exaggerated stories, either about his personal experience or events in history. These can be very entertaining, but if you have any questions he is unlikely to give you the feedback you are looking for or he will act annoyed that you asked a question in the first place. In my opinion he seemed ready to retire and he is only teaching this course just for kicks and probably money. he was also more often than not at least half an hour late for class.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the extra credit opportunities that were provided. Each week there are take home quizzes that are usually pretty difficult because the answers are hard to find and are not explained in class (I usually did pretty bad on these) so I would do extra credit. Along with the quizzes we could write a half page paper about any scientific article that correlated with whatever we went over in class the week before and it would improve our grades by 5%. Another extra credit opportunity I really enjoyed was going to the planetarium at WWU to watch a show put on by the instructor himself along with a movie. Normally this costs $10 to see, but if you are in this class you get to go for free with a bonus of getting extra credit!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Get a study buddy to go over the quizzes with and definitely do the extra credit.

    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's a super easy class first of all and the professor makes it really interesting to listen to! His lectures are funny and informative and he gets the info to you in a way that is easily understandable. His take home quizzes are simple enough to complete quickly, but challenging enough that you need to study to find the answers.

    Course highlights:

I learned everything there is to know about the night sky. How the sun was made and how stars evolve. How light and gravity work.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't get lazy on the take home assignments!
