    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    I would recommend it because it was life changing. It was a hard course and there was a lot to memorize, but the take away of learning to eat healthier and the effects certain foods and drinks have on our bodies was eye-opening. Since the course our eating habits have changed. For example carbohydrates are bad guys almost in all diets, but there are good carbs. Our body needs the good carbs for energy and if we don't have the good carbs our body will keep storing fat. It will try to use this for energy but if we live a sedentary lifestyle, the fat will just keep adding up.

    Course highlights:

    The highlights of the course for me was the dietary diary. Basically I recorded what I ate for three days and looked at every aspect of how it benefit my body. There was a site where I entered the name of the food I ate and it would calculate how many calories it was and how much sodium and fiber over the course of three days I had consumed and more. Through this three day diary I was able to look at the big picture of what I was doing to my body. Since this course and this assignment I have lost 15 pounds. It hasn't been easy but it's well worth it.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Study a lot for this course, ask lots of questions. The teacher is willing to help if you ask for it. I took this course online, so it was harder not to be in the class and be able to ask questions whenever I needed it. Most of all I would say study, the tests are difficult but if you are not procrastinating there shouldn't be a problem. Every assignment you do is tied into a test or another important assignment so take your time.

    Course Overview:

    This was an AMAZING course recommend for everyone! There is so much useful information for career or everyday use. I want to go back and take this course again!

    Course highlights:

    I learned about how food is processed, a general idea of how the body works, good/bad eating habits, how exercise helps our bodies, and how healthy food should be appreciated.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    I took the night class and found there wasn’t enough time in the class to learn all the information. Take this class seriously, it may pay off in the future.
