Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class clarified many misconceptions I had about sociology. It was very interesting how humans can be studied by where they grew up. Many people make predictions about peoples' future life choices based off of where they grew up because society affects them so much.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about the effects on poverty. Learning about how children that grow up in poverty view the world different really gave me a deeper understanding for some of their choices. It also gave me a deep respect for those that work so hard.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would highly recommend creating or joining a study group with your classmates so that you can spend some time every week absorbing all of the new information. Waiting to the end does not allow your brain to absorb all of the important information.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because Maria Cuevas is a great Professor who genuinely cares about her students and their education.

    Course highlights:

We learned a lot about the wealth gap within this course. We watched a few videos on this issue and did a lot of activities to show us how unfair it is. Overall you learn a lot about social injustice and why things are the way they are.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you take a lot of notes and study hard before exams!!
