Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

if you are having a hard time learning math, the best advise is to get a tutor or a family member or a friend to help you understand it, practice each problem as many times as you can to better understand it.

    Course highlights:

I met new friends and we all became study partners throughout the semester. Be patient and if you need a break, go for a walk, listen to music or exercise, then return to your homework, studying and learning.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Spending time studying and reviewing my notes, using the book examples, and asking questions

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Hoffer was a great professor! Although he did give a lot of work, it helped us on his tests which were directly from his lectures. He explained the material very well and he was also very considerate when he found out that students were having trouble completing all of the homework. He started limiting his homework assignments but they were still reasonable and the tests were straight forward. As long as you study your notes and complete the homework without cheating, you can expect to ace all of the tests.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about completing the square and factorials. I also learned about exponents and their inverses, the logarithms. There was some graphing involved in the class. The hardest lesson I would say, was the system of inequalities which had three unknown variables.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard and ask questions. Also give feedback to the professor and tell him when you need more time or help on the homework. He is very open but quiet at first, so don't be shy and open up to him.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course with Troxel. He makes the difficult lessons easy, and is straightforward for the most part. He's a helpful teacher and answers all questions asked.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning about quadratics and conics. I learned how to properly simplify using the lowest common denominator.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all assignments assigned and ask questions no matter how simple they may seem. Have nice organized notes to study off of.
