Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Lectures within this class are informative as well as engaging. Discussions on certain topics, such as gay marriage, take place daily and you learn of certain resources that you may have never deemed as crucial before taking the class.

    Course highlights:

You learn of how culture and society influences sexual behavior along with orientation. Safe sex is a topic covered thoroughly and you are given information about the resources available to protect both yourself, and your partner. STD's are covered, including information about where to receive help, and what symptoms to expect.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention to the lectures in class, instead of copying down the notes because they will be available through the portal, after the class session. Copy down the notes at home, so you can ask questions relating to any topics that were difficult to understand. Book is not required.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this excellent course because the material taught gave me insight into human sexuality. The professor made the class very engaging and allowed everyone to express their opinions on topics such as abortion or homosexuality without being frowned upon. The topics ranged from homosexuality to paraphilia's. This course is great for those who would like to further expand their knowledge on transgender, paraphilia, sexually transmitted infections, and much more.

    Course highlights:

A paper we wrote revolved around gay marriage. Before, I did not give much thought into same-sex marriage, but when the assignment was assigned, I gained a different perspective of same-sex marriage. For example, I learned of the history and battles between the states and government to legalize same-sex marriages. Also I learned specifically of same-sex marriage in California and how it was made illegal after prop 8. Also the most interesting part of the course was learning of the various cultures that have sexual practices that we may find unappealing. For example, we learned about a culture which practices Female Genital Mutilation which is a procedure that sews the vagina of a young girl for purposes to ensure virginity until married. As you can see, this course has many great concepts and ideas to explore that will surely change your perspective and allow you to learn more about human sexuality.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to always take notes and try to participate as much as you can. Never procrastinate and always ask questions if you have any. Make sure to utilize the study guide provided and give yourself enough time to study. Don't cram material in the day before a test. Overall, simply do your work and pay attention because in my class, there was a PowerPoint everyday and there was test material on it.
