    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

A lot of students really do not like seminar but it was my favorite class. Freshman seminar is the reason my grade point average is a 4.0. Professor Carter is a great teacher and an amazing role model.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was all the laughs we had in class. Professor Carter made learning fun. During seminar we learned how to be successful students. We were taught how to register for classes, where to go if we needed help with some of our classes and we reviewed what we learned in history.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice is to take seminar SERIOUSLY! They will deduct points if you skip class. Seminar can also help you find great scholarships and how to register for classes, which is really hard!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Seminar made my first semester. It's where I learned how to study effectively and be engaged. It's also where, in a smaller setting, we discussed the book we were reading and the lecture that accompanied it.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about history and how individual stories are the travesty or hope that come out of world events. Through pain-filled story of Standing Bear I learned about loyalty, from the immigrants on Angel Island I learned about Bravery, and from Sal Castro I learned about grit and perseverance.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

TAKE IT! And be ready to learn!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Ruggles is the best professor hands down! She is beyond helpful and she has a great sense of humor. She has great study tools and will help you in any way needed.

    Course highlights:

The highlights have to be when we would study for the exam we had in my political science class. She had the best tools to study and she helped in any way possible. I learned how to study for such a difficult course.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Just take notes. That's really all you need to do and be prepared to speak in front of the class one time. Also be very creative and joke around sometimes.
