    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Overall this course is a core class and is necessary and I am sure there are other excellent professors at TAMUCC who teach it well. This all being said, the problem with this course lied with the professor. He taught verbatim from the book leaving attending his classes almost obsolete and didn't know what material would be on the final exam so couldn't teach to the final exam. He also was very vague with explanations on how to solve problems or wouldn't cover some material because he deemed it "too much". It was overall very confusing and left most all students to have to go home and teach themselves algebra and, honestly, I'm not paying thousands in tuition to have to teach myself how to do algebra.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to rely on myself and use my university and outside resources to pass a class.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Ask around about the professor you've been assigned. Ask your adviser and older students if you can, and if no one has heard of them then you're kind of rolling the dice, but I'd personally switch to a professor people have heard of and can vouch for. Also you should use your university tutoring resources.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor was very helpful! He helped me when I really needed it! Every calculation I have made was understood by the end of the course. He was great at explaining everything that I needed!

    Course highlights:

I learned how to use the tools given to me, and how to apply them to new equations and concepts

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take as much time as possible studying. It will eventually pay off, and you will feel very confident in your work
