    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course will test you unlike any other English class. It feels like an actual college level class and the amount of learning you will do is tremendous. Not just about poems or short stories, but life. I can honestly say I am a better person after taking this class.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was being able to read all the short stories and texts that you normally wouldn't read. it was very interesting and fun to read the works.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate at all whatsoever. It will bite you in the end. If you do procrastinate and wait until the last minute, you won't get any sleep because the work is very time consuming. Also, make sure you review all of your work twice because mistakes can result in a deadly grade. But, you will learn a lot by the time the course is over.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class is a bit time consuming but the class helps you understand the importance of time management and taking time out of your day to diligently do the work. There are some interesting books that are read throughout the year. You will learn great things about life, happiness, love and perseverance from reading and discussing different topics with peers.

    Course highlights:

A highlight of this course was when we were tasked with reading the Book 1984 by George Orwell. Definitely my favorite book so far. It was so interesting to see a society that had become so oppressive that the people themselves feared everyone around them, even their children. Discussing it in class with peers and sharing how we interpreted different lines in the book was fascinating. It's one of those books that uses symbolism correctly because not everyone interpreted certain flashes of symbolism in the book the way I did.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Learn how to manage your time wisely. Do not procrastinate with any of your work and please pay attention to your syllabus, IT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE. The work will be time consuming but for the most part you'll be given a reasonable amount of time to do it so take advantage of that. High quality work will be rewarded. All the essays turned in will be graded harshly so make sure all written material is not plagiarized or else your grade will suffer. But for the most part you will enjoy the class. If literature interests you then this is definitely a class for you.
