    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Global Studies because it is a very interactive and interesting course. Throughout the whole semester my class and I particpated in constant class discussions over controversial issues currently in America and across the world. I learned alot in this course.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights were our huge formal debate my class and I had to do at the beginning of the semester and all of our projects. We were split into teams and had a couple of weeks to prepare for our formal debate. I was on the proposition team and had to argue why prostitution should be illegal. It took alot of research and planning to prepare for the debate. I ended up winning my debate. I also enjoyed the different prjects we got to do throughout the semester. One of the projects was to make a station for our "global fair." I chose to do my poster and stand on the issue of Blood Diamonds over in Africa. I spent hours researching and putting my stand and presentation together for the fair.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

This is a challenging but very beneficial course. If you are willing to participate and work hard you will end up loving the course. This class gave me a whole different persepctive on the world.
