It tackles the essence of accounting; i.e. why accounts are classified as such or why transactions are interpreted in a particular way. It requires a bit of background knowledge of accounting and finance as well as working knowledge of the English language. It also requires alot of reading since the course is focused on Accounting Standards, namely IFRS, IAS, etc.
In taking this course, I was able to solidify both my theoretical and practical knowledge of accounting and external reporting. This was made possible by enormous amounts of reading as well as by having a competent professor like Mr. Caliwan.
