    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

General Chemistry is instrumental in the biomedical field and Dr. Lettko excels in incorporating career specific examples in her curriculum which help the students make key connections later on in their careers as science students and professionals in the biomedical field later on.

    Course highlights:

The conversion of units was instrumental throughout the course regardless of the topic at hand. I feel this was the most important thing that I learned from this course because I use it in many scenarios in and out of the classroom to this day.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To be successful in this course and any following course, stay organized with your work and make sure you identify all of the information given and question how that information can be used as a tool to reach the answer. Also make sure you prepare well ahead of time to avoid cramming.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Clarke provides students with all the resources necessary to succeed in his course. It is a challenging course, but it Is also a satisfying course. It requires you to think critically for each and every concept taught. Dr. Clarke's' teaching style is invocative, it makes you want to learn more about the subject at hand.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the basis of chemistry and the fundamentals needed for future science courses.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard, attend every lecture, and go to Dr. Clarke if you are having any difficulties, he is a very willing and helpful person.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course due to the nature of the course. It introduces the basic principles of chemistry we see day to day. The professor is also a dean and very knowledgeable on the topic. He will work your brain at problems, but you really do learn a lot.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was a problem involving the amount of ethanol in an air space within a bottle of Jack Daniels. This problem involved concepts of molecular weights, density, and pressure.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the practice problems and exams. Also lab content is a nice grade booster and relates to the lecture component.
