The course is fairly easy, but on the other hand the connection with the real world is not present for everyone. It has to be relevant to your course because as a standalone it is quite useless.
The highlights are the few things you learn to see in the real world. You can take a look at several real life advertising campaigns and just straight up name the strategy behind it.

The practical assignments (if any) can very well be passed as every detail can be drawn from the books. Also, when preparing for the exam, see if you can find a mock exam and try to build a summary based on that.
