Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone curious about child development. The course goes through prenatal to adolescent development and covers things like social, language and emotional development. We were able to learn about the history of developmental psychology through the interesting ways people perceived childhood throughout history and how it changed over time.

    Course highlights:

Highlights were definitely learning about how much prenatal and infant care impacts child development. We learned about how parenting style and attachment style can impact subsequent health and development of cognition and social development in different aspects of adolescent/ adult life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in the class you definitely need to read the textbook, because many of the topics covered on the exams are not covered in class. In addition, be prepared for a short answer portion of all exams and definitely inquire on how to do them correctly because there is a learning curve. In addition, attending lecture is incredibly important because even though the slides are posted, she gives a lot of supplementary and helpful information during class!
