Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Sullivan is one of the best instructors you will find at BU. He genuinely cares about his students and goes the extra mile to provide them with the best learning experience.

    Course highlights:

I looked forward to every lecture before sitting down and being active in class. Sullivan puts his heart into teaching his students which was probably the best thing about the course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it if you want coding background in a fairly easy programming language. There will be challenges but the professor and the teaching fellows/assistants are always willing to help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took it when it was taught in Java, but Sullivan is very methodical in this teaching methods that help students grasp the syntax of programming languages. The fun problem sets are challenging but come with a sense of accomplishment and opens the mind to the possibilities of coding.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to program in java and how to think like a programmer.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start early and go to office hours.
