    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The course is designed in a way that helps students to get introduced into the Questrom community. Moreover, although there are some negative sentiments regarding the group presentations, I thought that it was a great way for freshmen to get to meet new people. My group and I have become pretty close because we have all worked towards the same goal.

    Course highlights:

The course teaches students about ethics within the business society, and ways to make sure that one does not make wrong choices that may have implications that they do not see initially. Also, it fosters an environment for friendly, supportive learning, and gives an introduction into the fundamental branches of business, such as finance, accounting, strategy, and operations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always participate, and try to get to know your professor, as they know a lot about the subject (usually), and also about specific branches of business management as well. You may get them again in some more advanced level course too. Also, just make sure to do the readings, as they will always appear on exams and are actually interesting at times.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took SM131 on a whim cause I heard business was a good minor to have or a skill for your future. I have no regrets taking this course!

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was waking up early in the morning to make it to the 8AM class daily. Nah. jk. The highlight was how engaging the professor was and how deep the conversations would get during discussion.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

As an introvert, I am very scared of public speaking and was worried that presentations and participation in class would be very difficult. However, Professor Chang was very encouraging and helpful if you ever needed help.
