    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I personally didn't do as well as I had hoped in the course. Some liked the professor; others didn't.

    Course highlights:

I strengthened my grasp of Linear Algebra in terms of its application to my field of physics

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Talk to the Professor. He genuinely cares about his students and wants them to do as well as they can.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great course. Interesting material for those who enjoy math-y subjects.

    Course highlights:

Focus on matrices and the applications of matrices. This is useful (and required) for many majors. The first type of math outside of the calculus track that one will take if taking a series of math courses, so that can be difficult because you are learning a new type of math so it is unlikely that you will have much prior experience to it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you have a good professor. The professor is key. The textbook is one of the best textbooks I have ever used which can help if you have a bad professor. The textbook gives thorough explanations that are very helpful. This course is tricky however because it is extremely important to understand the topic conceptually, not just the equations.
