    Course Overview:

    This class gives a wonderful review of artwork starting in the Renaissance period and ending with a look at today's artwork. There are two essays and two exams that make up your grade; the other portion is participation in your discussion section. Tests and essays are thoroughly explained before so there is no surprises or confusion.

    Course highlights:

    The basics of each art period from the Renaissance to now are covered. Notable artists, artworks, and styles are all taught. You are also taught how to make comparisons between artworks.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    It helps to have an interest/appreciation for art already otherwise this class will seem like a chore.
