    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The discussions from the book readings and articles provided an in depth understanding of societies issues. Furthermore, it gives people who haven't been exposed to real life events a different outlook on other peoples situations. Thus, people can build empathy, reduce prejudices, and continue to empower other to build better communities.

    Course highlights:

I learned that society has been build on negative stigmas, stereotypes, and non-factual media reports. I have also learned to work in groups and learn other peoples perspective, which turns into a beneficial learning environment.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this class and it can forever change your opinion and perspective for the better. Hear other students stories and understand where they are coming from.
