Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class because the instructor is PHENOMENAL! She is so committed to the success of her students. She shows up to class early, stays late, and will go out of her way to help you succeed. What makes Ms. Zavodny such a great instructor is that she will even incorporate extracurricular learning into her curriculum. She'll offer extra credits to attend economics talks, volunteer in the community, or for participation in some form of outside learning and growth. She is an AMAZING teacher.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of the Macroeconomics course that I took with her was learning about the federal reserve and what constitutes a currency. In this class you go through a lot of models as well so that you can better understand the effects of different economic tools. Some of those tools are fiscal policy as well as monetary policy.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

READ THE BOOK. Honestly, reading the book is the biggest key to success in Zavodny's class! She also gives homework so I recommend really putting in effort on your answers. She doesn't grade them harshly but that extra effort will help you Ace your tests.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The course is entertaining if you're interested in finance and any economic topic. There is not too much math involved which would be a plus to those who do not enjoy working with too many numbers.

    Course highlights:

We applied concepts of different economic systems (Free Market, Mixed Economy, Controlled Economy) and were able to research the upsides and downsides to all of the systems.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading the course material is important. You are tested on many key terms and you will need to listen and take notes during lecture. This is not an easy-A class.
