    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Perry gave the class plenty of notes to study from. Since this was an online class you had your fellow students to assist you. The professor was very quick to respond to emails or to questions on the forum. He doesn't post the class assignments on blackboard, only on his website, which was strange but it didn't impede my ability to learn the language.

    Course highlights:

It was a fairly comprehensive course in Java. When I finished the class I felt like I can start to apply Java to other programming needs. The class was quick paced but as long as you posted on the forums and demonstrated that you ultimately understand the concepts he was teaching he would work with you if you needed extra help.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book every chance you get. Experiment with the language, try different ways to solve the assignment. Often times there would be only one way to finish the assignment but by tinkering around you gain a better understanding of the language. Don't be afraid to ask for help, the teacher is getting paid to teach you and help you understand the subject.
