Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class! There is a lot of writing to do, but it really does help develop and perfect a student's writing style.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write a well-developed, well-thought persuasive essay. I also learned how to organize my thoughts better and make my essays flow well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to read and write a lot more than your previous English classes. Make sure to take notes on proper essay formats, because some teachers are really picky about that.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

English is a general subject requirement and for community college students like me who wish to transfer to a 4-year college, English 1A is definitely a requirement to transfer or graduate. The reading and writing skills that you learn from this class would really help you in other classes when you have to write a report or work on a research paper for example.

    Course highlights:

It was the best English course I've ever taken! It taught me how to write well with a voice of my own. My analytical and critical reading skills have improved tremendously ever since I took this class. I strongly believe that if it had not been for English 1A, my English writing skills would not be how it is today.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You definitely have to put in the hours and actually do the assigned readings. Otherwise, you are not going to do well. It is an English class, so there is going to be a lot of reading and discussions.
