Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If youre a bio major you have to take this class and Bower is very clear with explainations and even posts all her powerpoints online for notes! Great for studying! Make sure you clear up confusion on any topic asap and make sure you memorize what you need to bc you will have to apply this knowledge to certain questions on tests. You dont have to read if you understand the lecture bc she only tests on lecture but if you dont understand something, definitely read to clear things up. Grades are basically based on 4-5 tests, a bit less on quiz, and there practically isnt hw so STUDY!

    Course highlights:

I've taken AP bio in hs so this was mainly a review so I can see how this might be a bit of a struggle for first timers.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Turn her notes into a quiz so you can practice concepts and certain things you have to memorize

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would totally recommend this class to any one of my fellow biology-heavy major students. This is a very tough class, however, Professor Cilletti really makes the content so much fun to learn! You really learn how life works. More incredibly, you learn how life is really just this ever changing cycle. She also teaches some extra laboratory techniques, that come in very handy if you want to get involved with research in the future!

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was simply the professor. Her love for biology really exudes and manifests in the students. Not to mention all the really fun microscope labs of blood smears, live bacteria etc. You learn everything from how proteins are made to how organisms produce food/ survive.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

This a reading-intensive class. I would recommend reading the book at least two hours a day. Also, change your studying up a bit! It doesn't always have to be as boring as reading from a book. Learn to add color to notes, turn them into visual interpretation. Have fun with them by playing games that help store this information in your long term memory. Your more likely to remember your notes by adding color and visuals! This isn't a straight memorization class like most other biology courses,. You will need to learn the material and APPLY it to any situation she gives. So learn it forwards and backwards. Pay more attention to understanding than memorizing. Look up animated youtube videos when your not understanding something. Also, take note of all lab occurrences because they will pop back up for your lab practicals! Most of all, learn to enjoy this learning process!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I found that funny. He can sometimes get boring/monotone.

    Course highlights:

This guy is very excited about microbiology. Lectures are boring, but the class is easy.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I know there is a lab but i didn't have to take it. The tests are just like the practice tests.
