    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Very enlightening course! Excellent professor who is a pleasure to around. His lectures are never boring and at times very hands-on but not in an intimidating way. Excellent course to get your feet wet if you love music, especially rock music. Please don't take advantage of his niceness!

    Course highlights:

This course made me more open-minded on the origin of rock music, and how all music is relative really. I gained much more appreciation for the foundation genres likes jazz and blues. After this course, many genres of music will make sense to you and will make you appreciate them. This class made me even more of a legitimate music lover, a more well-rounded music lover.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Most of this class is reading a few entertaining chapters a week, then he explains in detail in his lecture by showing clips and audio examples. There is only abut two written assignments but still they are nothing too demanding, mostly about yourself and your interest in music and a critique of a show of your choosing.
